Lemongrass, also known as lemongrass, is an aromatic herb native to Asia. It has a fresh, citrusy aroma and flavor, making it a popular ingredient in cooking and herbal teas.

However, it has little in common with citrus fruits, as it is related to bamboo, corn, rice and other grains.

It is most often used in herbal blends, often with mint, ginger or green tea and black tea, mate, rooibos, etc. Feel free to add lemon and honey to the prepared infusion. Cooled lemongrass drinks are also excellent. In Thailand, it is an important part of typical indigenous dishes.

Lemongrass is generally safe for children from 2-3 years old, if given in moderate amounts, for example as a mild tea. We recommend giving it to children in small amounts (e.g. 1/4 to 1/2 cup per day). It helps with digestive problems, colds, boosts immunity and has calming effects.

We do not recommend giving it to children if they have grass allergies or low blood pressure.
