Great Japanese tamaryokucha from Miyazaki Prefecture. The tea bushes grow at an altitude of around 500 m above sea level in a remote area where the air is cool even during the summer. It is processed using the traditional method of roasting on hot plates (kamairi), similar to traditional Chinese green tea processing. The Kanayamidori cultivar is characterised by its intense aroma.

The leaves are gently twisted and give off a pleasant floral, sweet and nutty aroma, after rinsing the leaves release aroma simillar to pumpkin seeds. The flavour is delicious, full-bodied, sweetish, slightly grassy. We recommend making this tea with cooler water than typical for other tamaryokucha, it can withstand more infusions this way.
