Nepal Himalayan Ruby

An exceptional tea from the small Sandakphu factory in Nepal.

The tea comes from a post-monsoon harvest, when the mineral content in the leaves is higher. The character of this tea is reminiscent of the famous rock oolongs from the Wu Yi mountains, which are also known for their high mineral content.

This tea is fully oxidized but does not carry the taste profile of traditional black teas. Instead, it leans more towards the taste of dark oolongs. The infusion has a stunning ruby-red colour with and delicate soft taste with tones of dark chocolate.
