Consumer Data Protection
In connection with the implementation of legislation on personal data protection, particularly Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data, as well as the implementation of measures to ensure the compliance of Tea Trade Slovakia, s.r.o. with GDPR and related legal regulations (e.g., Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection), you will find below general information regarding personal data protection.
1. Identification Details of the Data Controller and Responsible Person
The data controller is Tea Trade Slovakia, s.r.o., registered at Rastislavova Street 2, 821 08 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Company ID: 44 031 866, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court BA1, Section Sro, Insert No. 51111/B (hereinafter referred to as "Tea Trade Slovakia").

2. Processing of Personal Data for Specific Purposes
a) Purchasing Goods via E-shop, Delivery of Goods, Handling Complaints, and Resolving Insurance Claims
Tea Trade Slovakia processes:
(i) For the purpose of purchasing goods via the e-shop and delivering goods, the following customer personal data: name, surname, telephone number, email address, address, details of purchased goods, and payment details (account number, paid amount, date of payment received by Tea Trade Slovakia).
(ii) For handling complaints, in addition to the data mentioned in point (i), details of the claimed goods and information provided by the customer when filing the complaint.
(iii) For resolving insurance claims, in addition to the data mentioned in point (i), details of the insured goods and information provided by the customer when reporting an insurance event.
The legal basis for processing personal data is:
(i) In the case of purchasing goods via the e-shop, delivering goods to the customer, and resolving insurance claims, Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR.
(ii) In the case of handling complaints, Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR.
Processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is:
(i) For purchasing goods via the e-shop, delivering goods to the customer, and resolving insurance claims, necessary for fulfilling the purchase contract or insurance agreement.
(ii) For handling complaints, necessary for fulfilling the legal obligations of Tea Trade Slovakia.
Recipients of personal data include:
- Courier or transport company responsible for delivering goods to the customer.
- External legal representation and other authorities in consumer proceedings.
- Transport companies related to complaint and insurance claim handling.
- Financial administration authorities, tax advisors, and auditors, if required for fulfilling Tea Trade Slovakia’s legal obligations
Personal data is processed during the contract period and the warranty period for the delivered goods.
b) Sale of Goods Outside the E-shop Offer
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following customer personal data for the purpose of selling goods outside the e-shop offer: name, surname, telephone number, email address, address, details of purchased goods, and payment details.
The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR. Processing is necessary upon the customer's request to purchase goods not available in the e-shop. Personal data is processed during the contract period and the warranty period for the delivered goods.
c) Ordering Goods on Behalf of the Customer via E-shop at the Store
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following customer personal data for ordering goods on their behalf via the e-shop at the store: name, surname, telephone number, email address, address, and details of ordered goods.
The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR. Processing is necessary for fulfilling the purchase contract. Recipients of personal data include courier and transport companies responsible for delivering the goods.
Personal data is processed until the customer receives the goods or the purchase contract is terminated early.
d) E-shop Registration and Operation
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following personal data for the purpose of registration and operation of the e-shop: name, surname, telephone number, email address, address, and order history.
The legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR. Processing is necessary to ensure e-shop registration and operation.
Personal data is processed for the duration of e-shop registration.
e) Providing telephone and e-mail support to customers
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following personal data of customers for the purpose of providing telephone and e-mail support: name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address, address, order history.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR and, in relation to the recording of a telephone call, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. The processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary to provide support, while in the case of an audio recording, consent and thus the processing of personal data via an audio recording is voluntary.
f) Handling customer complaints
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following personal data for the purpose of handling customer complaints: name, surname, data specified in the complaint and, depending on the way in which the customer filed the complaint, also their address, telephone number or e-mail address.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary to resolve a customer complaint. Personal data is processed for the period until the customer complaint is resolved.
g) Facebook competitions
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following personal data for the purposes of implementing competitions via Facebook: data provided in the competitor's profile and, in the case of the winner, also his/her name, surname, telephone number, address and photo with the prize.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary for the purposes of implementing the competition in accordance with its terms and conditions.
The recipient of the winner's personal data in the scope of the photo and, if applicable, the name and surname is Facebook Ireland Ltd., with its registered office at 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Republic of Ireland, as the controller, and this company will process the personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
Personal data are processed for the period necessary for the conduct and evaluation of the competition.
h) Providing support via Facebook
If the data subject decides to request support via Facebook, Tea Trade Slovakia will process the personal data provided in the data subject's Facebook profile and the data that the data subject provides during communication.
The purpose of processing this personal data is to provide support at the customer's request and the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The provision of personal data and their processing by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary to provide support at the customer's request.
The recipient of personal data is Facebook Ireland Ltd., with its registered office at 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Republic of Ireland, as the controller, and this company will process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/policy.php).
Personal data is processed for the period necessary to provide the support requested by customers.
i) Enforcement of Tea Trade Slovakia’s claims
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the following data for the purposes of enforcing Tea Trade Slovakia’s claims: data specified in contracts with customers and suppliers, data specified in complaints, data required for filing a lawsuit by Tea Trade Slovakia, data specified in a lawsuit against Tea Trade Slovakia, data specified in theft records, data kept in accounting and other data required in connection with any enforcement of claims or defense of Tea Trade Slovakia’s interests.
The purpose of processing this personal data is the legitimate interest of the controller and the legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of Tea Trade Slovakia. The legitimate interest of Tea Trade Slovakia is the protection of its assets, as well as protection against unjustified claims against Tea Trade Slovakia.
The recipients of personal data are the following persons: courts, public administration bodies, legal representatives, tax advisors and other professional advisors as controllers.
Personal data are processed during the period of litigation and during the limitation period during which claims may be made against Tea Trade Slovakia or during which the company may assert its own claims.
j) Fulfillment of legal obligations of Tea Trade Slovakia
Tea Trade Slovakia processes the personal data referred to in letters a) to m) for the purpose of fulfilling the legal obligations of Tea Trade Slovakia. The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (e.g. the Accounting Act, the Value Added Tax Act, the Income Tax Act, the Consumer Protection Act, the Archives and Registry Act). The processing of personal data by Tea Trade Slovakia is necessary for the purpose of fulfilling the legal obligations of Tea Trade Slovakia.
The following persons are the recipients of personal data: tax advisors, auditors, courts and public administration bodies as controllers.
Personal data are processed for the period required by the relevant legal regulation.
3. Rights of the Data Subject
The data subject has the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic if they believe their GDPR rights have been violated.
The data subject has the right to:
(i) Request access to personal data.
(ii) Rectification of personal data.
(iii) Erasure of personal data.
(iv) Restriction of personal data processing.
(v) Data portability.
(vi) Object to personal data processing.
These rights can be exercised by contacting Tea Trade Slovakia:
a) In writing by sending a letter to the company’s registered address.
b) Electronically by sending an email to the above-mentioned address.
c) By telephone using the above-mentioned contact number.
4. Applicable Legal Regulations
The applicable legal regulations include GDPR, the relevant Slovak data protection law, and other applicable legal provisions.
5. Validity and Updates
This "Data Protection" document is valid from February 1, 2025.
The processing and protection of personal data are subject to review and updates. If a significant change occurs, customers will be notified. The latest valid version of the "Data Protection" document will always be published on our website.
