Top grade organically grown Gyokuro from the Yame area from the Kirari cultivar. The Yame area produces the best teas in Fukuoka Prefecture.
The Kirari cultivar, which translates to "flash of light", is characterized by a high concentration of amino acids, making it the ideal cultivar for producing Gyokuro with an intense umami flavor.
Thanks to the traditional shading for four weeks and masterful processing, you can taste an excellent tea with intense umami and a long sweet aftertaste.
The "Hon" designation is given to Japanese teas that have been shaded using the traditional method using rice straw.
