Yellow Teas

Yellow tea is one of the rarest and least known categories of tea – traditionally produced in small quantities in select regions of China. At first glance, it resembles green tea, but with one essential difference: after gentle heating, the leaves undergo a slow oxidation under a moist cloth in a process known as menghuang 濛黄 (“sealing yellow”).

This unique step softens the grassy notes typical of green teas, resulting in a smooth, mellow liquor with a velvety sweetness. Its aroma may carry hints of flowers, roasted nuts, or a subtle fruity softness. Yellow tea is refined, balanced, and quietly luxurious – a treasure for true connoisseurs.

Thanks to its gentle processing and high antioxidant content, yellow tea supports digestion and offers a calm, sustained energy. It’s the perfect tea for mindful moments and quiet indulgence.
